Peer Review Process

An independent, confidential, and academically rigorous assessment process for every manuscript submitted to JIEDI.

Journal of Inclusive Education and Digital Innovation (JIEDI) applies a double-blind peer-review process. The identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors. This process is intended to support impartial, constructive, and evidence-based editorial decisions.

Review Workflow

01

Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscript through the JIEDI online submission system. The submission must follow the journal’s author guidelines, article template, ethical requirements, and formatting standards.

02

Administrative Screening

The editorial office checks the completeness of the submission, author information, manuscript structure, references, declarations, supporting files, and compliance with the journal’s technical requirements.

03

Similarity and Ethical Screening

The manuscript is examined for originality, citation practices, potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, authorship concerns, conflicts of interest, and compliance with research ethics. A manuscript may be returned or rejected if serious concerns are found.

04

Editorial Assessment

The editor evaluates whether the manuscript fits the focus and scope of JIEDI and has sufficient originality, relevance, methodological quality, and scholarly contribution to proceed to external review. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be declined without external review.

05

Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the editorial assessment are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject, research method, and educational context of the manuscript. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest.

06

Double-Blind Peer Review

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s originality, theoretical foundation, methodological rigour, clarity of analysis, validity of findings, quality of discussion, ethical compliance, contribution to knowledge, and relevance to inclusive education and digital innovation.

07

Author Revision

When revision is required, the authors receive anonymised reviewer comments. Authors must revise the manuscript carefully and submit a detailed response explaining how each comment has been addressed or providing an academic justification when a recommendation is not adopted.

08

Re-evaluation

The revised manuscript is assessed by the editor and may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation. Additional revision rounds may be requested until the manuscript meets the required academic and editorial standards.

09

Editorial Decision

The Editor-in-Chief or authorised editor makes the final decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the authors’ responses, the quality of the revised manuscript, and compliance with JIEDI’s editorial and ethical policies.

10

Copyediting and Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout preparation, proofreading, metadata verification, and final publication. Authors may be asked to review the article proof before publication.
