To maintain the quality, originality, and integrity of its scholarly publications, ECFi: Journal of Economics and Islamic Finance implements a rigorous plagiarism-screening policy.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or other appropriate similarity-detection software before entering the peer-review process.

Author Responsibility

Authors are strongly encouraged to screen their manuscripts using reliable plagiarism-detection software before submission.

ATTRIBUTION
Proper Acknowledgement

Authors must appropriately cite and acknowledge all ideas, data, statements, and materials obtained from other sources.

ABOVE 25%
Revision or Rejection

Manuscripts exceeding the permitted similarity threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected by the editorial team.

Unacceptable Practices
The following forms of academic misconduct will not be tolerated:
Plagiarism Self-plagiarism Verbatim copying Duplicate publication Citation manipulation Improper paraphrasing

Any form of plagiarism or inappropriate use of another person’s work without proper acknowledgement constitutes unethical publishing behaviour.

Editorial Actions

Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism may be rejected immediately without proceeding to peer review.

If plagiarism is identified after publication, ECFi may issue a correction, withdraw, or retract the article in accordance with its publication ethics policy.

The editorial team reserves the right to reject or take other appropriate action against any manuscript that violates this policy.

By submitting a manuscript to ECFi, authors confirm that their work is original, has not previously been published, is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal, and fully complies with the journal’s Plagiarism Screening Policy.
