Open Access and Licence Terms

ECFi: Journal of Economics and Islamic Finance provides immediate open access to all published content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports wider access to knowledge and encourages global scholarly exchange.

All articles published in ECFi are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

Under this licence, authors retain the copyright to their work and grant ECFi the right of first publication. Published works may be shared, copied, redistributed, adapted, transformed, and built upon for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that:

appropriate credit is given to the original author or authors;
the original publication in ECFi is properly acknowledged;
a link to the CC BY 4.0 licence is provided; and
any changes made to the original work are clearly indicated.

Authors are permitted to enter into additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of their work, including depositing it in an institutional repository or publishing it in a book, provided that its initial publication in ECFi is appropriately acknowledged.
