This study analyses the contribution of the ketak handicraft home industry to the household economy of women in Pejanggik Village, Praya Tengah District, Central Lombok Regency, and identifies constraints affecting its development. A descriptive qualitative field design was used. Primary data were obtained through observation, documentation, and interviews with ten housewives engaged in ketak weaving, supported by information from village officials, a collector, and a customary figure. Data were analysed through reduction, display, verification, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that approximately 78 housewives across fourteen hamlets participate in ketak production. The activity provides flexible work that can be undertaken at home and between seasonal agricultural jobs. An initial investment of approximately IDR 250,000 is used for tools and materials. With reported weekly revenue of around IDR 200,000 and production costs of IDR 70,000-80,000, estimated net earnings reach IDR 109,600-119,600 per week after equipment depreciation, allowing capital recovery in two to three weeks under stable orders. Income is used for food, schooling, transport, and other daily needs, and reported monthly earnings can reach IDR 2,500,000 among highly productive artisans. Nevertheless, the industry's contribution is constrained by limited capital, dependence on collectors, declining and fluctuating orders, restricted marketing access, and inconsistent raw-material quality. The study concludes that ketak handicrafts function as an important supplementary and, for some households, principal income source, while sustainable improvement requires stronger producer organisation, direct and digital marketing, working-capital access, quality control, product innovation, and supportive partnerships
